Mike Mohr, RLA, ASLA
Mike is a consulting landscape architect to SCA and also has his own design firm, Mohr Associates, inc.
Early experiences shaped his approach to design. Bicycling the canyons and body surfing the beaches of Southern California sharpened comprehension of landform. While experiences of ocean; the flowing force
of water, the interplay of light and shadow in the maturing swell and the many reactions of fluid form against static mass, have formed rich spatial images that are the foundation of his garden design. Mike's solutions sculpt the land and resolve issues of site development to elicit a strong sense of place.
Educated at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mike owned two design-build firms in the resort area of
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin over a twenty year period prior to moving to Aspen in 1999. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a licensed landscape architect in Colorado and Wisconsin.
