Jessie Young
Jessie’s planning experience began as an intern with SCA during the summer of 2008. She is currently completing her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado at Denver where she has focused on sustainable urban infrastructure and the connections between health and the built environment. The highlight of her academic experience was working with an interdisciplinary team to execute a greenhouse gas inventory and facilitate community engagement process for the City of Broomfield’s sustainability plan. Jessie received her BA in International Relations from Bucknell University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She has spent time abroad in South America and Europe where she has developed an understanding of the complexities of sustainable development in a number of different contexts. One of Jessie's favorite quotes and is "Life is a journey, not a destination" by Steven Tyler.
